The WCS is trying to conserve the sea turtle population in Nicaragua.
The main threat to the sea turtles is fishermen over harvesting them and their eggs.
Some of the measures being taken are:
- conduction of population assessments
- conducting genetic stock assessments
- tracking of movement and migration patterns
